Your first assignment is analyzing the kinematic parallax data given to you. The data is that of a star cluster, and your task is to determine the distance to the star cluster. No help will be given, as this project is meant to test your skills at improvisation and hunting for information yourself. You are required to submit your code to our email address, coepastroclub@gmail.com . We'll be hosting a meet on Sunday, 6pm, and everyone who participates is supposed to explain their method and result.
Have fun!

Well I found a website which has projects and datasets for data analysis. It has an astronomy section with some datasets and a a competition on Classification of celestial objects, the PLAsTiCC Astronomical classification by the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST). It also has prizes The link is below Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST) www.kaggle.com/c/PLAsTiCC-2018
